Etowah Freedom Fund assists with bonds, commissary, and other expenses for incarcerated people, with a focus on those caged by ICE at the Etowah County Detention Center in Gadsden, AL. We are an abolitionist group and believe no one belongs in a cage.
Etowah Freedom Fund is a volunteer-run 501(c)3 organization. It grew out of the work of Shut Down Etowah. The fund is a member of the National Bail Fund Network.
Etowah County has a contract with ICE to cage immigrants in a unit of the county jail. The Etowah County jail and detention center is notorious for rotten food and medical neglect. Your donations help support the people locked in Etowah and other cages.
